This new resin item from MAW Decals includes a 1/48 Posable AN/AAS-38 FLIR Pod. 

The Lockheed Martin AN/AAS-38 "Nite Hawk" is a FLIR & laser designation pod for use with laser-guided munitions.

It has been used with the F/A-18 Hornet, and has presumably been tested with the A-7E Corsair II.

AAS-38 pod comes in 3 varieties. AAS-38 (non LASER) AAS-38A (LTD/R) AAS-38B (LST) The AAS-38 is commonly referred to by the US Navy as TFLIR or Targeting FLIR. AAS-38 as of May 2008 is being phased out and replaced as new ASQ-228 ATFLR pods are built.

The set is made up of 4 beautifully cast resin pieces.  You simply cut them from the casting blocks and glue them together and install them on your model.  This pod has finely engraved panel lines.  The Revell /Monogram kit doesn't have the under fuselage mount for the FLIR included in the kit as the Hasegawa kit does, so this set includes that extra part specifically for the Revell/Monogram kit.

There are no instructions, but the 4 parts only fit together in only one way.   Do a search on Google images for FLIR Pod and you'll pull up reference photos to help you out with orientation of the 3 parts relative to each other and the model.

This is a neat set and very well done and perfect if you want to add an accurate well detailed FLIR Pod to your next F/A-18.
