Turkish Remembrance of Ataturk and Youth Day 2008

Hi! I am Volkan from Turkey and this is my one of the latest builds. I finished my F-16 in the colors of the commander's jet of 52nd FW which is based in Spangdahlem AB.  Tamiya's brand new F-16 is the most exciting kit I have ever made.  This kit has finely engraved panel lines with rivet details.  Besides, I didn't face any fit problems during the build process.  Therefore, if anybody wants to make a correct and detailed F-16, I think, Tamiya's kit would be the best choice. I didn't use any aftermarket detail sets, because this kit satisfies you by having enough detail.  I used Vallejo Air acrylic paints and weathered it slightly with pastels.  I also used the kit's decals, which are a little bit thick.  But after the application of Microset and Microsol decal solutions, they placed very nicely. However, the kit has one big problem which is a huge seam line on the canopy.  I solved this problem by sanding the seam gently and applying the Tamiya's compound to the canopy.

I hope you like my F-16. J
