Looks like its been well over a year since I built a Hornet. So for the 67th Hornet how about the 150th anniversary Canadian special. This is my first Kinetic Hornet. Have to say I prefer the Hasegawa but the Kinetic comes with a nice open refuelling probe. Which I HAD to use. Also a nice folding wings option out of the box. Which I will use in the future. Its not as solid as the Hasegawa and appears a tad smaller. But its still a very nice kit. Obviously I did not use the landing gear so I can not answer for that. However, building with the wheels up as I did the doors fit shut very nice with around the same amount of putty as the Hasegawa requires. Its the DECALS that sold this kit for me.

Kinetic took a very complicated scheme and hit a home run. Very nice. Just be careful you follow the instructions closely. BUT, also look at the real plane. Kinetic has a couple marking marked on the instructions for the wrong side of the plane. However the decals fit the plastic perfectly and settle in just fine on a glossy surface with standard decals solution.

The scheme is this year's airshow bird celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary. The wooden base was something my sister made for me a while back. I intend to add a couple Canadian flag themed CT-133s to either side of the Hornet as time goes on.
