This is the very old and still very nice Tamiya 1/48 scale Lancaster. It was missing some interior parts but luckily that did not really come into play once the model is closed up. The biggest modification I did model wise was plugging the hole where the upper turret went and creating a new hole closer to the centre line.

The Canadian MkX Lancaster had a different type of turret (which I was once told) comes nicely in 1/48 scale from the Revell B-25 kit. So I ripped off a turret from my Revell kit, cut a new hole and stuck it in place.

The decals came from two different sources , both trades here on ARC (thanks guys). Each company has advantages over the other, so the good parts were used to make what my small references seemed to be closest to the truth. The real plane from which this was modeled flew with 428 RCAF squadron (as built) and later with 419 when it was lost over Germany. 

Also shown in the photos is a search and rescue version of the Lancaster which Canada flew into the early 60s.
