United Kingdom  - RAF Birthday

Hi all, my latest contribution is to celebrate the birthday of the Royal Air Force. I used the Revell kit in 72nd scale and gave it a heavy load of six Meteor missiles and two Asraams, so this is a bit of a peak into the future, two or three years or so, when Meteor comes into service.

I used home-printed decals to get ZJ949 `H` for Hope to go with my earlier build of `F` for Faith, both belonging to 1435 Flight, Mount Pleasant on the Falkland Islands.

Still the best Typhoon kit in 1/72 as of Spring 2012, I`ve enjoyed building and detailing several Revell kits.

The self-printed decals can take a bit of trial and error, and liquid film to protect them during application is essential, but I think, with practice, the results can be rewarding.

All the best,

Ian Buick
