USMC Birthday (1775)

Here is my Tamiya 1/48 scale F4F-4 Wildcat. The kit was built straight out of the box. The only thing used that didn’t come with the kit the decals. Captain Joseph J. Foss out of Guadalcanal flew this particular aircraft in November 1942.

The decals are from the Aeromaster USN/USMC Top Guns Of WWII set. This was my first attempt at battle damage. The kit was painted using Model Master paint and weathered with pastels.
