Here's a 48th Hasegawa MC 205 in Egyptian markings.  A few years after WWII the Egyptians bought a group of MC-205's from Italy.  Unfortunately, most of them were shot up on the ground during the Israeli War of Independence.

The kit is built straight out of the box, as even the Aeromaster decals came with it.  Any one who has ever built the kit, they can tell you of the wing over and underhangs as well as the center fit needs a bit of attention to clean those areas up.  Another hard area on this kit is getting a smooth seam on the strut forks. Other than that, the fit was great.  All scoops and vents are opened up.

I wanted to do the Desert Tan scheme to get away from the mottling patterns so common to the Macchis.  I used a mix of Aeromaster Hellblau and light gray for the lower surfaces.  The Top was Model Master Italian sand, lightened up a bit.

The cockpit was painted with a mix of pale green and green zinc chromate. The instrument panel was sprayed interior black.  The canopy was dipped in future and the exhaust staining was done via black and brown pastels.  Now that I got my hands on a Jaguar kit cockpit, I'll have to try my hand at another MC 202.
